Pageant Talk with Franz Angelo Afable, Mr. DepEd Eastern Visayas 2017
Hailing from Eastern Samar Division, Franz Angelo Afable was recently crowned Mr. DepEd Eastern Visayas during the Eastern Visayas Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet 2017 held in the beautiful province of Biliran.

The Pageant Media Team headed by its founder Leomel Amparado had a chance to ask Mr. Afable some questions. And here’s how this young guy responded to questions being asked to him.
- What’s the best and worst thing of being an athlete?
The best thing is that an athlete knows that strategic workouts equal better results. An athlete plans to target his/her weak areas and improve on strengths. And even if you are always practicing harder you know that you will make many people proud win or lose even God. For me the worst thing is that there is a high risk of injury, you will lack time for sleep, and you will have limited time with your loved ones.

- If love is the answer, what is the question?
The question will be “What is the cure that our world needs?”.

- Define victory and defeat.

For me victory is a success in competitions or struggle and when you achieve something. And for me defeat is the an unsuccessful ending to struggle or competitions, but we should not use our defeat to quit at something and down ourselves instead we should use this to improve our strengths and diminish our weaknesses and use our defeat as an inspiration to be stronger and better.
- What is your message to all your supporters in your pageant tilt in Biliran?
Well to all the people who supported me before, during, and after the contest, thank you so much. You all boost my confidence, strength and dedication to win. Without you I’m not like this. I hope that all of you will stay the same. Stay Gwapa and Gwapo and of course never quit on your dreams even if it seems to be impossible. Just trust yourselves and have strong faith in God, just like I did. Thank you, God Bless, Mahal ko po kayong lahat!
Truly Mr. Afable has a lot of potentials and the whole team sees a brighter future ahead for this guy.
